五月有一宗關於JK Rowling的花邊新聞, 一般讀者看來, 可能只會笑一笑; 然而同樣從事寫作的, 一定別有一番感受。
Rowling應該曾經在網站上說過一句笑話, 說她在愛丁堡工作時, 總找不到紙張寫HP7......
結果......

Since complaining that I have difficulty finding anything to write on after running out of paper while working in town, I have been deluged with paper.
Some of you send single sheets, other entire pads, one enterprising paper merchants sent a large stack of notebooks embossed boldly with JK ROWLING, which I might not use in public, but which are lovely all the same. Others took a different approach, telling me where you can buy writing paper in Edinburgh; some even enclosed maps.
Anyway, I have now got enough paper to write several book 7, so no excuse there.

其實, 作者是需要生活的, 沒有生活的作者, 怎能寫出好故事? 就如同我總不明白為何粉絲不讓偶像戀愛, 一個不戀愛的人, 怎能演好戲, 唱好歌? 這是從事創作的弔詭, 演員(也是創作, 以自己的身體和心靈創作角色)沒有生活經驗, 無可能演得出好戲; 作者沒有生活, 筆下的角色也只能是樣板公仔……但作為活在市場中的創作人, 卻總被怪責慵懶......快和慢, 總在角力......
作為Harry Potter的作者, Rowling每天得要應付全世界催促她交稿的壓力! 嘩, 單是想一想, 也覺得她真的很棒呢! 要有多大的幽默感, 才能舒緩這種壓力!
我是超級Harry Potter fans, 但總不能不讓Harry和他的朋友好好生活一會, 如果Rowling只是一部打字機械, Harry, Ron和Hermonie一定不會這樣令人感動。
